inspire - teach - engage
We had the absolute pleasure of having Al Start for a songwriting workshop, and I can't recommend her highly enough! From start to finish, Al was incredibly flexible, tailoring the day to suit our needs perfectly. She had every child engaged and excited, creating a truly inclusive and inspiring environment where everyone felt valued and involved.” - Megan Haydock

SONGWRITING PROJECTS WITH SCHOOLS - CELEBRATE YOUR SCHOOL!

This year has been full of brilliant songwriting projects with children and young people.

This summer I have been very busy behind the scenes songwriting, shooting and editing videos and recording great songs that I've enjoyed writing with the  students.

Back in June 2026 I visited Durham for the annual Big Sing & Sign - a day packed with great songs and sachools from all around Durham. The following day I visited Villa Real special school in Consett for a day of songwriting and fun.

The students wanted a song that celebrated their brilliant school and all the things they love doing. We came up with this cracking song and I edited their photos & video clips together to make this fantastic legacy piece for the school.

They will sing it in assemblies and at special events for years to come!

Why not book me to write a song for your school? Get in touch!

The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. The children thoroughly enjoyed working with Al, creating the song and especially recording the chorus, which was so much fun. Watching the finished video back yesterday was fantastic and seeing it all come together was lovely and emotional. It was great to see the students' excitement and pride in what they had achieved. It was a brilliant opportunity that allowed the children to be creative, work together, and have lots of fun. Thank you to Al for such an engaging and memorable experience.” - - Teacher, Villa Real

Brighton's Coastal Wind Farm - The Power of Nature

Exciting Songwriting Project with Brighton Young Carers

Last month in December, we premiered our brand new music video to a packed Ironworks Studio, Brighton.

Amongst the audience were 7 very special young people who took part in our joint songwriting project.

Aged from 7-14 they were surrounded by their families and friends as they watched the music video for the very first time!

As you can imagine, it went down a storm! (Forgive the pun!)

Also in the audience was Kelvin MacLeod representing Rampion Wind Farm who generously funded the project.

Kelvin was (and I quote) BLOWN AWAY by the song and video (another pun..!) and clearly moved by not only the Power of Nature, but the power of music!

Brighton Young Carers' Project support children and young people who care for a family member with significant health needs. They run projects like this, youth groups, trips and more.

Go Kid Music supports children to explore their creativity and find their voice. Our project demonstrates what can be achieved with just a little funding and support. Watch this space for more information about this project, and please do share our wonderful music video.
